When last we spoke, we were in Sault Ste Marie, MI. Since then we've crossed the UP, passing through

complete with ski hills and a nice little downtown. But we didn't have time to stop and see the sites as we were on our way to Eagle River, WI for a couple of nights.
We arrived after over 5 hours to the HI Pines campground and were relieved to get out of the truck. We chilled out for awhile and then went into town.
The main street had some interesting shops, where of course I picked up a Christmas ornament. (I try to get local ornaments every time we stop) We did find the Eagle River in Eagle river, but didn't see any eagles except on signs.
The next day we had lunch on the river, it was a beautiful day and we found a great spot to eat.
This was our view from the deck of the restaurant.
Who could sit inside on a day like today? Not us, so we sat outside and enjoyed the afternoon.
I also enjoyed a homemade chicken pot pie and some tasty onion rings.
...and a nice cool beer, which I added ice to which made it much better.
