Where are the Falls in Chippewa Falls?

We arrived in Chippewa Falls and met up with old friends, Linda (Truyman) & Dan Plotz.  So happy to be camping with them and great to have someone else to talk too!  We celebrated our reunion with Brandy Old Fashioned, a favorite drink in WI.
The next day we all jumped into the trusty truck and went into Chippewa Falls in search of the falls.
Are the falls at the Leinenkugel Brewery?  Let's check it out.
We went to the Leinie Lodge to sign up for a tour.  So far so good.  What luck!  We got in on the next tour starting in 5 minutes.
We walked over to the Brew House...didn't see the falls on the way.

Brown glass, but no falls.  Where are those darn Chippewa falls?

Grain silos

Didn't go in there.

Leinenkugel's was started by Jacob Leinenkugel along with another guy.  Originally it was called....you guessed it, the Spring Brewery.  Somewhere along the way, the other guy was bought out by JL and the brewery had a name change... the Leinenkugel Spring Brewery.  Eventually the name was changed again to....
Our tour guide was a young girl, probably around 20 yrs old.  She talked so fast and had a high voice it was sometimes hard to hear and keep up with her.  Couldn't she see that we were old?  Good Grief!

What did she just say?
How can I take a picture without standing there?
Once inside, I couldn't take pictures but did get one more......
'We saw where the grain was mixed with water and then vortexed out of the liquid.  We saw where the fermentation took place, where the bottles were filled and pasteurized, where the bottles and cans were labeled and packaged.  By the way, we still haven't seen the falls.  We finished the tour and headed back to the lodge for some tasting and some shopping.
The copper thing hanging up there is the top of one of the old fermentation tanks.

Lin and Dan waiting for the next round
You paid a dollar and got a 5 oz Lienenkugel glass and were able to taste 5 different beers... do the math.
I just tried one,
and it was good.  I'm not a big beer drinker, but I think I could get into that one.  So after some tasting and some shopping, we headed out to find some lunch and stopped at Lucy's.
I had the quiche, Cary had a pastrami sandwich both were tasty.   Well, we've been driving around a while and still haven't seen the falls...
We stopped at the visitor's center and asked, "Where are the falls"?  She didn't know.  Hmmm.
We walked the streets, almost 2 o'clock and still no falls.
Did our friends move here while we were gone?
Chippewa falls?
We moved on to a nice park that had a zoo.... Maybe this is where the Chippewa falls are hiding.
I think he's looking for the falls

I'm not happy to see all these wire cages...

Look closely, it's a pig fountain!

Lions and tigers and bears, oh my!

Hilarius!

No lions, and still no falls.  Where are the falls in Chippewa Falls?  We gave up the search and headed back to the trailers...  We did have fun though and did have some great company.
